HEPATITIS
Hepatitis is the inflammation of the hepatic cells in the liver, mostly due to liver damaging habits and viral infection. After virus exposure, HAV / HBV /HCV /HEV can be detected in the blood stream within few days to few weeks. It even transmits from the infected mother to the new born baby through mother milk feeding. Chronic Hepatitis virus infections are silent infections and at times asymptomatic for many years, but deteriorates the infected person suddenly.

Hepatitis is a major health concern as it attacks the hepatic cells over many years and often leads to end-stage liver disease. Yellow eyes, yellow skin, yellow (dark) urine, poor appetite, malaise, and fatigue are some of the major notable symptoms in Hepatitis, but the type of infected virus is conformed only through blood investigation. If not diagnosed and treated properly, it progress to complications like cancer or liver cirrhosis. As per WHO factsheet, HBV is the primary cause of liver cancers worldwide.

Causes
Hepatitis is caused by viruses such as Hepatitis A, B, C, E, and Herpes simplex virus (HSV), and Cytomegalovirus. Exposure to toxins like ethanol, Amanita phalloides mushrooms, carbon tetrachloride and frequent use of acetaminophen, halothane, and chlorpromazine can cause Hepatitis.
Hepatitis A and E are transmitted through fecal or oral exposure by raw seafood consumption, contaminated water, poor hygiene, and close contact with a hepatitis infected person. Hepatitis A is a common viral hepatitis that affects young people and children.

Hepatitis B and C are transmitted through blood or body fluid exposures as occur through sexual intercourse, unsterile needle, intravenous drug abuse, blood transfusions, tattoos or body piercings, hemodialysis. Hepatitis C and Type B commonly affects people of any age group. Autoimmune Hepatitis is a progressive inflammatory process of the liver of unknown etiology. Person previously having HIV or HSV infection are at greater risk for chronic hepatitis and its potential complications.

UNIQUENESS OF OUR TREATMENT
Our Integrative approach includes Traditional Siddha herbal treatments, immunomodulators, firm dietary guidelines, Supportive Antioxidants, lifestyle interventions and profound effects of Quantum biofeedback therapy in handling hepatitis made many patients turn towards Siddha treatment to alleviate the disease. In a study, the combination of herbals with conventional interferon treatment versus interferon alone, reveals a much notable improvement of 64 % betterment with combined therapy compared with only 33% of normalized levels of ALT within 12 weeks of treatment.

The aim of treatment is to prevent further liver damage by boosting the body’s immune system and preserving the functions of liver with fresh potential herbals. Siddhars has insisted to consume the karkam (extracts) of phyllanthus with curd for the conservation of GUT micro biome health that enhances immunity and supports liver function. Protecting and supporting the liver to recover its metabolic and detoxification pathways to clear the viral load from the body besides lowering the inflammation is the main goal to treat Hepatitis. Extra hepatic symptoms like joints pain, muscle pain, glomerulonephritis and associated complications can also be treated according to the symptoms and age of the patient.
